Life gets in the way sometimes

HAPPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY TO MY SON!

Right now I'm working on the granny stripe blanket from from Lucy at Attic 24. I've gotten a few other projects completed, I just didnt think that keeping up with a blog would be so hard to do! Wow, I dont know how some of you ladies do it. Here are some of the photos of my most recent projects. I hope you all have a great week, and I really am going to try my best to post more often. Really, I am!

Another Attic 24 bag! I love making these!

I haven't forgotten about this Blog!

Well, hello! I promise I haven't forgotten about my blog. I have had so many projects going that I haven't had time to come back here and tell you all about what I've been working on. I have a hat, several bags, and progress on a few blankets that I need to get posted. I am going to try to get those pictures posted this weekend. I am excited for you to see what I've been doing!

My garden has been somewhat of a disappointment. Well, my tomatoes have been disappointing, anyway. We have gotten quite a few potatoes and a seriously load of cherry tomatoes! I am SO OVER the cherry tomatoes! They are good and I thank God for the abundance, but seriously, I've had enough. My cucumbers didnt do too great, either. The zuchini was wonderful and I have gotten quite a bit in the freezer. I have been using it to make zuchini bread and it's so good! I didnt take any pictures of my garden because, honestly, it's been to dang HOT! I just want to go gather the goodies and get the heck back in the house!

I'll be back to post pictures, soon!

Love,
Dawn

A week of vacation

Hey everyone! I have been on vacation this week. My daughter and her husband have taken the boys with them on vacation this week, so hubby and I have been alone all week. This week has been a preview of what our life is going to be like when all of our kids are grown and out on their own. I have to admit that I really dont like it...at all. We've been able to go out and eat more than we normally would and I havent cooked much at all. Those are the only really good things about not having my kids at home. I was so looking forward to a week with no kids, but I started missing them as soon as they pulled out of the driveway.

Daughter borrowed my camera so I dont have any new photos to share, but I can show you the last bag that I finished. You got to see a preview in my last post, but here it is finished!

Good afternoon! Today has been a lazy sort of day around here. I've not done much except a few loads of laundry and some hook'n. Quite a lot of hook'n. It's such a good thing! Here is my current work in progress.....well, OK, this is just ONE of my many current projects, but I am very much loving this blanket. The yarn I'm using is Loops & Threads Impeccable. This is a 100% acrylic yarn and although it's not as soft as cotton it is still a very soft yarn and I feel like it will be even softer after its been through the wash.

This pattern is a ripple pattern from Lucy at Attic 24. It's such a fast pattern to work up. Thanks Lucy!

I wish you a wonderful week and Happy Hook'n!

Hello and welcome to my Blog!

Hey ya'll. I am so glad you stopped by my blog. I hope to make this a place where you will enjoy visiting. I love to crochet and I love to share my projects with others and I very much love to visit other blogs! Recently all my crochet projects have been inspired by a lovely lady named Lucy from across the pond. Below are a few of the projects that I have completed or am currently working on that are inspired by Attic 24.

This is the beginnings of my hexagon blanket from Lucy's blog.

This is my first Lucy bag! I truly love this bag and I have made a few more. I plan to make lots of them!
